I couldn’t leave Italy without visiting the floating city, other wise known as Venice! It’s crazy to think this cool place might not be here anymore some day, so I’m glad I got to see it in my lifetime!
This place is truly unique for a lot of different reasons. I’ve never been to a city with only canals instead of roads. It’s totally wild.
The sidewalks through the buildings are also ridiculously small, and despite the city’s small size it is pretty easy to get lost. I guess that just makes it more fun!
Day 1 outfit: A black tee from Brandy Melville, denim jacket, my cross necklace from Bethlehem, a chocker, and leggings.
I didn’t get the chance to ride in a gondola, but I can only imagine floating down in one of these sweet style boats! It’s quite expensive, but if you go to Venice its a must! I suppose that just means I have to go back. Darn! 😉
Day 2 outfit: “There are no rules” button-up dress from Zara. For a more detailed view checkout blog post from Paris Fashion week.
Day 3 outfit: a blue jumpsuit, black and white stripped turtleneck, and black boots.
I got the pleasure of visiting Tessitura Bevilacqua, an old loom factory where they make all kinds of velvets and fabrics. The company has a really long history and has provided fabrics for brands like Dolce & Gabbana. The process of weaving fabrics non-mechanically is super slow, but the outcome is incredibly beautiful and of high quality.
In just one week, I’ll be headed home to the US of A! This has been quite the journey here in Italy, and I’m grateful for each trip and experience. That being said, I’m excited to be home and enjoy the summer in sweet Massachusetts. Stay tuned for one more post from Italy next #trendytuesday… until then, stay trendy!
