It’s Bari, baby

Spring is poking it head around the corner here in sunny Italy, and the warm weather is making me so excited for the rest of this semester! Last weekend I took a trip to Bari, Italy to visit a friend and see a little bit of Italy’s coast. All I have to say is it was breathtaking. Truly a place I could see myself spending the summer in. Oh, yeah… I also rode a vespa. No big deal.

We took a walk through the old city part which was very pretty, quaint, and well, old. We went into some old churches and went down a street where older ladies sell pasta they make inside their home. Outside of the old city is a long shopping strip with a tropical vibe to it, very much like how I feel LA is. Hashtag goals.

I really love the combination of small streets and squares, and the coastal vibe of the city. And of course it was great to see my friend Roberto, who will make an appearance in my next blog post of our adventures in Torre A Mare.

Can we talk about that vespa ride, though? My thighs became sore from being clenched so tight at first, but it was truly exhilarating. I’d do it again. and again. and again.

Until #trendytuesday, stay trendy… Italian style.
