HEY GUYS. I MISSED YOU.
Ok first of all I’m sorry for the scattered uploads! It’s really hard to keep a consistent #trendytuesday upload schedule when abroad! Plus while I was in Israel I had enough content for more than one blog post a week that I wanted to upload.
Anywayssss, since coming back to the states I’ve done quite a bit of thrift shopping! As I sifted through racks and racks of clothing it came to my attention how much of what is coming back into style from the ’90s and late ’80s can be found right in thrift shops! Brands that can now be found at stories like Urban Outfitters and Pac Sun like Tommy Hilfiger, Champion, Polo Sport, Adidas, and Calvin Klein can also be thrifted for a fraction of the price. I wanted to show you guys a few things that I picked up as well as give some tips for what to look for when you’re thrifting!
Mens’ Champion Sweatshirts
Basically, your dad’s closet from the ’90s is in. I have become obsessed with the champion brand and their classic hoodless sweatshirts. I got this red one with the little champion logo in the top left and simply cut off a few inches from the bottom to give it a more distressed look.
Ok so this is nothing new. Men’s flannels are the best thing that happened to women everywhere. This green and navy blue one I picked up isn’t as oversized as I normally like them, but I couldn’t resist the gorgeous color combo!
Totally. Obsessed. I picked up this baby pink GAP turtleneck and haven’t taken it off since! I love the comfiness of the fabric and I will definitely be getting more! I also plan to cut the sleeves of one to make it into a tank top turtleneck . Cute, right? Let me know in the comments if you’d like to see a blog post on that.
It’s no secret that Tommy Hilfiger was the top brand of the ’90s, and I couldn’t be more excited that its coming back! Cue me buying everything with that cute little red, white and blue logo. There is no shortage it it in thrift stores, especially in the men’s sections!
P.s. can you guess where I’ll be this time next week? Check out my study abroad blog post to find out! Until then, stay thrifting!
