DIY Style: Snow Bunny Season

It only took me 3.7 seconds in between when winter beanies with two pompoms hit the shelves in fashion stores to go from confused to obsessed. I mean seriously, does it get any cuter? I love the little kid look the snow bunny beanies have, and it only gets better with another pompom!

Stores like Forever21, H&M, and Urban Outfitters are stocked with cute hats like this, but I decided it would be way cuter and not to mention cheaper to make my own! Seriously guys, this DIY costed me a total of $5. Yeah, you heard me correctly.

I just bought a gray knit beanie from Target’s $1 section (remember when everything was actually $1?) and two knit pompoms from Michal’s $1 section. (Pssstt.. they’re actually ornaments.)

I started by cutting off all of the gems attached to the beanie because, yikes! The pompoms have two long loops attached to them because they’re ornaments, so I stuck them through the yarn of the beanie and tied a knot to hold them in place. Seriously guys, so easy! And the entire project took about 2 minutes and costed me no more than $5.

If you head to your nearest Target and Michael’s, I’m confident you could find this very beanie and pompom ornaments without a problem. Michael’s also had pompoms of various colors. I just chose ran to match my hair color, but you can totally customize it to whatever color scheme you want!

As always, if you recreate this DIY be sure to tweet me pictures! Until next time, stay trendy!
