It’s time for the last and final Summertime Skincare DIY! What better way to end this series than with an Avocado face mask?
There are a lot of health benefits to this mask. Avocado is extremely moisturizing for the skin and is good for anti-aging. Additionally, it can serve as a protection against UVA and UVB rays. This recipe also includes bananas which contain nutrients that kill acne growing bacteria, in addition to benefits of anti-aging and moisture.
You will need:
♦ 1/2 an avocado
♦ 1/2 a banana (ripe!)
♦ 1 tablespoon of olive oil
After you blend all of the ingredients together, apply the mixture to your face for about 10 to 15 minutes. After you wash it off, apply a moisturizer to seal your skin.
If I’m honest, I wasn’t too pleased with the results because my avocado wasn’t ripe enough. I think that this regimen would be perfect if the avocado was on the riper side. Also, make sure your banana is very ripe as well! This just makes the blending process so much easier, and allows your mask to have a real creaming consistency.
There will be a new posting schedule for the summertime, so stay tuned for that!
