DIY: A Succulent Garden for Your Room!

If you follow me on Instagram, you know that my latest obsession has without a doubt been little succulents! They’re so cute, unique and trendy… I can’t help myself! So, I of course had to find some way to fit succulents into my current dorm decor. I found some inspiration on Pinterest, made a quick run to Michael’s craft store and got to work! If you want to learn how to make your own succulent garden like mine, keep on reading!

First you will need supplies! For my garden I used 3 little succulents from my campus conservatory, a tin shaped heart, some white sand, gold rocks, and little chalkboards! There is so much leeway you have with this project, so you can switch up your materials depending on the look you want.

Once I had my materials I just started by placing the succulents in the tin and evening out the dirt. I think it looks really cool to have different types of succulents to add a different dynamic to your garden!

Next, I just added a layer of white sand. Needless to say, it got everywhere. Whoops.

For my finishing touches I added some gold rocks and of course, a #TrendyChelsea chalkboard. UGH SO CUTE.

I can not get over how much I love this garden and I love how it looks on my desk! It was also extremely easy and only took 15 minutes to do.

If you recreate this project, please tweet me pictures because I’d LOVE to see! There is so many different directions you can go with this project and I know every one will be unique and absolutely adorable!
